Tesco Mobile is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their cross-functional engineering team. This role involves managing and securing infrastructure, integrating security into development pipelines, and collaborating with various teams to enhance security standards. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in security operations, particularly with Azure, and a passion for continuous learning in a dynamic environment.
The Tesco Mobile Engineering team is a cross-functional team responsible for both software development and the operation of tailored and product/SaaS-based IT solutions.
We are a diverse team of highly motivated individuals working on business-critical infrastructure management across sprints and various technologies, providing significant benefits to the wider business.
As part of the Run and Operate Chapter, which manages platforms and infrastructure for Tesco Mobile, this role is within the DevSecOps squad, working under the squad lead. The squad manages infrastructure powering engineering systems and applications, including software development tools and pipelines.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, your responsibilities include managing and deploying environments securely and efficiently, overseeing logging and SIEM, coordinating with application teams to resolve issues, and integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines. You will validate changes for compliance and collaborate with the Tesco Mobile Cyber Security Team.
Your key responsibilities:
Minimum requirements include significant experience in security operations management, cloud providers (mainly Azure), task automation with PowerShell or Azure CLI, experience with Azure Security Hub, Terraform, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Nice to have skills include experience with AWS, source code management (GitHub), Splunk, CI/CD pipelines, code security techniques, automation tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
