Job summary

F5 in Bristol is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) to design and build a new Azure cloud platform used by IT and Software Engineering teams. You will work hybrid, with three days onsite in Central Bristol and two days remote, delivering scalable infrastructure and robust deployment pipelines.

The role focuses on Azure landing zones, Terraform modules, GitHub CI/CD, observability, security, cost control and collaboration with software teams.

Qualifications

• Must have Azure cloud infrastructure experience.
• Ability to implement reusable Terraform modules and deployment patterns.
• CI/CD experience across infrastructure and applications.
• Knowledge of cloud landing zones including identity, networking, policy, governance and shared services.
• Cloud networking familiarity.
• Experience with monitoring, vulnerability scanning, backup and recovery.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications with software teams.
• ITIL/service-management understanding.

Responsibilities

• Build Azure landing zones, management structures, shared services and policy controls.
• Establish cloud networking, including ingress/egress, private connectivity, DNS, firewalls and load balancing.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and deployment patterns.
• Build and maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
• Support the infrastructure and deployment capability behind AI products.
• Create monitoring and alerting for reliability, security, performance and cloud costs.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Produce technical standards, documentation and reusable engineering patterns.
• Mentor colleagues and lead DevOps work across projects and BAU.

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + up to 15% bonus + profit share scheme

Location: Central Bristol - 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH
