Job summary

MPower Plus seeks an experienced engineer to lead container platforms with strong Kubernetes expertise, including GKE and OpenShift. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, IaC with Terraform, and robust delivery pipelines using Jenkins and modern automation patterns.

You'll build a developer platform (Backstage) with self-service paths, implement comprehensive observability using Dynatrace, and enforce security controls via Vault and IAM. Networking with Istio is also part of the scope.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes engineering; GKE preferred.
• OpenShift experience required.
• GCP experience preferred; Terraform and reusable infrastructure automation.
• Delivery pipelines: CI/CD, Jenkins; automation, release controls and deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and release controls.
• Develop internal Dev Platform concepts (Backstage) with self-service and golden paths.
• Implement observability using Dynatrace; manage metrics, logs, traces, alerts and SLI/SLOs.
• Enforce security controls with Vault, certificate management and IAM least privilege.
• Oversee networking concepts with Istio service mesh and traffic management.

• Container platforms: Strong hands-on Kubernetes engineering; GKE preferred. OpenShift experience is required.
• Cloud & IaC: Google Cloud Platform experience preferred; strong Terraform and reusable infrastructure automation.
• Delivery engineering: Harness CI/CD and Jenkins; pipeline design, automation, release controls and deployment patterns.
• Developer platform: Backstage and Internal Developer Platform concepts, including self-service and golden paths.
• Observability & SRE: Dynatrace; metrics, telemetry, logs, traces, alerting, SLI/SLO practices and runbook automation.
• Security & controls: HashiCorp Vault, certificate management, IAM/least privilege, platform controls and secure configuration.
• Networking: Istio Service Mesh, ingress/egress, service connectivity, traffic management and network security concepts.
• Engineering practices: GitHub / Git, automation-first mindset, scripting, troubleshooting and production support.
