Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is hiring for a DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications on AWS in a hybrid UK-based role (London or Manchester).

You'll work in an empowered team, use Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK, and contribute to CI/CD, automation, and secure, scalable services suitable for national security and digital intelligence missions.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based application design.
• Coding in at least one Lambda-compatible language.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Shell.
• Experience with IaC and Git version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD and automated testing would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and deploying applications and services on AWS.
• Working with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS and IAM.
• Using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.

Who you’ll be working with

Join a leading national security and digital intelligence organisation, developing cloud-based systems that support critical UK security missions. You’ll work in an empowered DevOps team, building and maintaining applications on AWS while collaborating closely with engineers and end-users.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, developing and deploying applications and services on AWS.
• Working with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS and IAM.
• Using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.
• Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and continuous delivery.
