Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate highly secure cloud and data platforms for UK national security programmes.

You will lead cloud-native infrastructure, drive DevSecOps practices, mentor engineers and work with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and data platforms across hybrid environments.

Qualificações

• Active SC Clearance and eligibility for DV Clearance.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering production cloud solutions.
• Strong AWS, DevSecOps and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise.
• Kubernetes, Docker, EKS/ECS/AKS experience.
• CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible and automation skills.
• Leadership and mentoring capability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, build and operation of secure cloud and hybrid infra environments.
• Drive DevSecOps practices across dev and delivery teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with modern tooling.
• Manage containerised platforms across cloud environments.
• Support deployment and operation of real-time and batch analytics platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure platform resilience.
• Implement secure backup, recovery and DR solutions.
• Contribute to automated testing frameworks and quality practices.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Collaborate with customers, architects and engineers to solve complex ops challenges.

Sanderson G&D are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to help design, build and operate highly secure cloud and data platforms supporting some of the UK's most critical National Security and Defence programmes.

You’ll lead the delivery of cloud-native infrastructure, drive DevSecOps best practices, mentor talented engineers and work with market leading technologies across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and data platforms.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the design, build and operation of highly secure cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Drive DevSecOps best practices across development and delivery teams
• Build and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, reliable software delivery
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using modern automation tooling
• Manage containerised platforms and orchestration technologies across cloud environments
• Support the deployment and operation of real-time and batch analytics platforms
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensuring platform resilience, performance and availability
• Implement secure backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions
• Contribute to automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices
• Mentor engineers and providing technical leadership across delivery teams
• Collaborate closely with customers, architects and engineers to solve complex operational challenges.
