Job summary

CPL in Glasgow is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Software Engineering team, collaborating across the Delivery Unit and with multiple teams to improve delivery and quality.

You will build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure, and automate cloud and container orchestration while contributing to security improvements and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• SME with strong knowledge in incident management.
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure Service Incident Management.
• Intermediate proficiency in SRE Observability.
• Intermediate proficiency in Configuration & Release Management.
• Intermediate proficiency in Cloud Automation DevOps.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, container orchestration and security.

Responsibilities

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure by applying your knowledge in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security.
• Build and test end-to-end continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines while ensuring that systems remain secure against potential threats.
• Collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively.
• Take responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems within your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Develop and optimize infrastructure automation to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
