A leading technology firm is seeking an Automation & Observability Engineer based in Glasgow for a 12-month contract. Qualifications

• Solid experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Strong knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Cortex.
• Significant hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs.
• Excellent debugging skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex or unfamiliar issues.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to improve the reliability of the data protection platform.
• Automate issue resolution, enhance observability and alerting to speed up service recovery, or a combination of both.
• Collaborate with the operations team to understand challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Interpret ambiguous requirements, advise stakeholders, and clearly communicate complex technical concepts.
