Job summary

Wolviston Management Services Limited is supporting a client in recruiting a Device Modelling & PDK Engineer to join their specialist engineering team in the semiconductor field. You will contribute to developing MMIC Process Design Kits and ensure device models are accurate for customer design requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or closely related discipline.
• Experience in DC and RF/microwave semiconductor device characterisation.
• Strong understanding of RF/microwave device physics and behaviour.
• Experience performing RF/microwave testing and interpreting device performance data.
• Understanding of small-signal and large-signal circuit theory and device equivalent circuits.
• Knowledge of compact semiconductor device modelling.
• Programming experience within testing or engineering environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Characterise and validate GaN and GaAs devices for MMIC PDKs.
• Develop compact device models for GaN and GaAs.
• Perform DC, pulsed I–V, noise, small-signal and large-signal microwave tests.
• Generate and validate small-signal and large-signal device models and passive models.
• Support development, enhancement and maintenance of MMIC PDKs.
• Provide technical support to customers using PDKs and respond to queries.
• Collaborate with design engineers to understand requirements and feedback.
• Contribute to new semiconductor process development through device assessment.
• Produce detailed technical reports and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging modelling techniques.
