Lawes Consulting Group is seeking an experienced senior underwriter to join our Scottish property and casualty team in Glasgow. This role blends technical underwriting with strategic influence, shaping how we partner with broker portfolios across the region.

You will present propositions for larger Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate risks, negotiate coverage and pricing with trading underwriters, and lead the large case management process for new business. Hybrid working is available.

Qualificações

• Strong P&C technical underwriting knowledge of the Scottish market.
• Proven track record of winning and retaining large, complex business through senior broker/customer relationships.
• Strong pipeline management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• DIP qualified (or working towards).

Responsabilidades

• Present propositions for larger Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate risks, negotiating coverage, wording and pricing with trading underwriters.
• Build a strong pipeline of qualified growth opportunities through client and broker relationships.
• Lead the large case management process for new business.
• Develop and own broker relationships across the region, with accountability for generation, placement and retention of profitable business.
• Underwrite new and existing business in line with underwriting controls, acting as a referral point in branch.
• Maintain a quality distribution strategy with key brokers to hit financial KPIs.

What you'll be doing:

Presenting propositions for larger Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate risks, negotiating coverage, wording and pricing with trading underwriters. Building a strong pipeline of qualified growth opportunities through client and broker relationships. Leading the large case management process for new business.
