Our client is an established and rapidly expanding MGA who specialise across different business classes, both in the London and Regional Markets. They are currently looking to hire an established Development Underwriter across their Property and/or Construction business classes.

About Your New Job:

Reporting to the Property Underwriting Manager this role will provide the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and receive full support to develop your skills. As the Development Underwriter you will gain valuable insight into the operations of an MGA and play a key role in the MGA’s continued growth, with a clear path for career progression.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver exceptional service to brokers.
• Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to maximise new business and retention opportunities
• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of business in line with underwriting guidelines, risk appetite and authority levels
• Assess and evaluate risks to ensure profitability and adhere to all regulatory requirements
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for the other Product within the suite and introduce the appropriate underwriters to support this
• Meet personal KPIs and contribute to team goals.

Who You Are:

• Proven experience with at least 5 years in a Development/Trading underwriting role
• Experience working with brokers with good existing relationships.
• Excellent analytical, decision making and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commercially minded with a focus on profitable growth
