Job summary

WSP in Newcastle is seeking a Development Planner to support a range of projects from commercial, retail, and residential to Local Development Framework representations. You will contribute transport planning input, develop strategies, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver effective solutions.

You will gain experience in project management and the commercial side of transport planning while building professional networks within WSP and with private and public sector clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport and active travel provision.
• Ability to prepare traffic flow information for Transport Assessments and Environmental Statements.
• Experience with junction capacity modelling tools like Junctions 10 and Linsig.

Responsibilities

• Involve day-to-day technical transport planning input across Development Planning projects.
• Develop transport strategies and contribute to scheme development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
