Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking a passionate R&D Technologist to join its Sweet Treats development team. Based in Carlton, Barnsley, you will drive new product concepts from idea through launch, craft formulations, and maintain rigorous documentation for scale-up.

You will work on reformulations to improve quality, nutrition, sustainability and performance, collaborating across functions to meet timelines and deliver a strong innovation pipeline.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development, Nutrition or a related discipline.
• Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Bakery experience, advantageous.
• Understanding of food ingredients, processing technologies and product development processes.
• Knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP and food legislation.
• Experience conducting product trials and supporting commercial scale-up activities.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

What we are looking for?

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, passionate about food, and eager to develop their career within FMCG product development.
