Job summary

Brookwood Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Product Technologist for Food Product Development at Colworth, Bedfordshire. The role blends lab formulation with factory transfer, supporting scale-up and production readiness.

You will lead end-to-end product development from concept through to manufacturing, coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering clear technical updates to stakeholders. A strong food science background is preferred.

Senior Product Technologist – Food Product Development

• Location: Colworth, Bedfordshire
• Contract: 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
• Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite

Are you an experienced Food Product Developer or Product Technologist looking for an opportunity to work on exciting new product development projects within a global food organisation?

We are looking for a Senior Product Technologist to take ownership of product development projects from initial concept through to scale-up and manufacturing. This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands not just how to develop a product in the lab, but how to take that product successfully into a factory environment.

You’ll be responsible for leading product development activities across the full lifecycle, including:

We’re particularly interested in candidates with:

You don’t need to have worked for a large corporate organisation. Experience gained within a smaller business, start‑up or entrepreneurial environment is equally valuable.
