Job summary

Premier Foods are seeking an R&D Technologist to help develop and launch new Sweet Treats products. You will work across concept to scale-up, reformulate existing items for quality and nutrition, and deliver projects on time while meeting cost and operational targets.

Based at our Barnsley site, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across the business to create market-leading products that delight consumers and fit our innovation roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a food related field.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is preferred.
• Bakery experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food ingredients, processing technologies and product development processes.

• Managing multiple development projects from concept through to commercial launch.

  We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, passionate about food, and eager to develop their career within FMCG product development.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development, Nutrition or a related discipline.
• Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Bakery experience, which would be particularly advantageous.
• An understanding of food ingredients, processing technologies and product development processes.
• Knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP and food legislation.
• Experience conducting product trials and supporting commercial scale-up activities.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to manage multiple projects and priorities.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to develop market-leading products that delight consumers while meeting quality, cost and operational requirements.
