My client is seeking a Housing Development Project Manager to join their team in Manchester, focusing on the construction of new build affordable housing developments. You will oversee the delivery of social housing projects within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters, and assist with identifying, negotiating, and acquiring new business opportunities.

Project Management: Oversee the delivery of new build social housing projects across Manchester. Manage and assist cost consultants with cost estimates, schedules of work, tender, and contract documentation. Manage plot sales and marketing processes, liaising with sales agents, marketing agencies, and solicitors to maximize sales revenue and rates. Negotiate construction contracts and assist in land/building acquisitions to ensure value for money.
Development Opportunities: Support the identification of new development opportunities aligned with organizational growth and profitability, maintaining a strong network of contacts.
Design and Planning: Manage the design, development, and planning processes for new developments and opportunities.
Financial Management: Handle project financials, including invoice coding, payments, and cash flow monitoring, ensuring adherence to budgets.
Candidate Profile: Experience in the affordable housing sector, delivering new build projects. Construction project management expertise with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high standards. Knowledge of property development, the built environment, and good design principles. Familiarity with building contract procurement and management. Ability to work within frameworks while thinking creatively to resolve issues. Skills in developing company profile, generating new business, liaising across departments, producing accurate reports, including cash flow and development appraisals.
