Job summary

Great Places Housing Group is seeking a Development Programme Manager to drive our Affordable Development Strategy and Corporate Plan. You will lead pre-contract delivery of a high volume of new homes and manage a multi-disciplinary team to meet growth targets.

With at least five years in property development, you will coordinate budgets, bids for funding, and project governance while maintaining strong relationships with partners and Local Authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in a property development background.
• Detailed knowledge of property development process.
• Experience in regeneration and/or community development.
• Knowledge of operating environment and changing market conditions.
• Commitment to mentoring and line management.
• Knowledge of contract procurement and contract management.
• Proven project and programme management on time, on budget and to high quality standards.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and ability to develop Great Places’ profile with partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Affordable Development Strategy and Corporate Plan.
• Assist in budgets and targets.
• Prepare bids for funding within timetables.
• Programme management of sub-programmes of pre-contract projects.
• Monitor and report on new business and pre-contract projects.
• Line manage team members and mentor others.
• Lead pre-contract development and ensure audit compliance.
• Identify new development opportunities and manage stakeholder engagement.
• Manage development process with agents, developers, contractors and authorities.
• Prepare scheme appraisals and cash flows; oversee team appraisals and cash flows.
• Ensure social value is pursued with suppliers.
• Prepare written reports for Executives, Growth Committee and Board.
