Job summary

Vico Homes is seeking a Development Manager to lead the conversion of Homes England grant funding into a viable pipeline of new-build affordable homes. The role focuses on ensuring schemes meet governance and compliance standards while fostering strong partnerships with developers, landowners and councils.

You will help shape the development programme, driving delivery toward the 10,000 homes target by 2036, while supporting long-term growth and vibrant communities through flexible and hybrid

Job description

This permanent Development Manager post sits in the Development Team at social housing provider Vico Homes, reporting to the Head of New Business and Delivery. The role is to turn Homes England grant funding into a deliverable pipeline of new-build affordable homes, checking that schemes are viable, governed and compliant. Working 37 hours a week with flexible and hybrid arrangements, the post centres on building partnerships with developers, landowners and councils. Candidates need previous managerial experience and working knowledge of JCT contracts and development agreements.

What’s required

Experience

• Up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation, regulatory requirements and new-build issues
• Knowledge of Homes England funding programmes
