Job description

I am looking for a Development Manager to join a well known organisation who have a significant mixed-use portfolio of assets in Central London, as well as a very active development pipeline of projects. The main development project is a large scale masterplan in London which will include a variety of asset classes with exceptionally high quality projects that I have no doubt will be award winning across numerous categories.

The Development Manager role will be to focus on this masterplan and will see you take a position managing one or more of the numerous projects within it. The scheme includes Resi, PBSA, Office, Hotel, Life Science, and Education, so it will offer you the chance to continue working on a sector you’re familiar with, but also the opportunity to branch out into something new.

Given the scale of the project and the various stages of projects, they would happily look at people coming from both Development and Project Management backgrounds, and the successful hire will likely be based on the below attributes:

• Willing and eager to be involved in projects with the view of learning on the job
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Strong financial knowledge – ideally the ability to manage and manipulate a cash flow
• Excellent communication skills, experience reporting to and management of internal and external stakeholders
• A want to learn and move out of their comfort zone into new projects
• The patience to work on a large project and see fairly slow progress at times, but the passion to keep things moving.
