Job summary

LiveWest Homes Ltd. is seeking a Development Manager to lead delivery of high-quality homes across Cornwall, managing projects from approval through construction to completion and ensuring quality and compliance.

This full-time role (37 hours/week) offers hybrid working (2–3 days in the Tolvaddon office) with flexibility to travel across Cornwall as required. You will collaborate with teams and external partners to drive successful developments.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to assess and manage project risks effectively.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload, meet targets and work under pressure.
• Confidence in working with stakeholders and resolving queries.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of affordable, mixed tenure and open market development projects within budgets.
• Oversee project specifications, contracts and procurement processes, and manage consultants and contractors.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and milestones, acting on variances or delivery risks.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, audit requirements and CDM regulations.
• Identify and manage project risks and cost changes per approval levels.
• Promote health and safety culture across the construction programme.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders for governance and handover.
• Support and motivate the team and capture lessons learned.
