LiveWest is seeking a Development Manager to lead affordable and market development projects across Cornwall. You will drive delivery from approval through construction to completion, working with colleagues, consultants and partners to meet budgets, quality and safety standards.

Based at the Tolvaddon area with hybrid working (2–3 days in the office), you will manage governance, risk, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring the project team to deliver a robust development programme.

Qualificações

• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to assess and manage project risks effectively.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload, meet performance targets and work effectively under pressure.
• Confidence in working with a wide range of stakeholders and resolving queries.
• Ability to use relevant business systems and confidently handle legal and financial information.
• Experience of working within construction or property development with complex budgets.
• Knowledge of development processes, post-construction practices and contract law.
• Understanding of viability principles, risk management and property valuation.
• Familiarity with public body audit requirements and health and safety/CDM regulations.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• A relevant qualification in Construction and/or Project Management in housing.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver affordable, mixed tenure and open market development projects within plan and budget.
• Manage contracts and procurement, overseeing consultants and contractors.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and milestones; act on variances.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, audits and CDM requirements.
• Identify risks and escalate cost changes per approval levels.
• Promote health and safety throughout the programme.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure governance and handover.
• Support and mentor team members, capture lessons learned.
