Reports to: Senior Development Manager

Salary: Up to 70k base salary + %bonus

We are working with a UK-based infrastructure developer focused on delivering sustainable, low-carbon digital infrastructure projects across Europe. With a strong background in grid-connected power infrastructure, the team brings together expertise in energy, planning, finance, and regulatory frameworks. As the business grows, we are looking for a Development Manager to support the expansion of our data centre portfolio across the UK.

The Role

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-value infrastructure projects from concept through to ready-to-build. You’ll work across land acquisition, planning, grid connection, and commercial modelling—while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of digital infrastructure projects from origination through to RTB status
• Identify and assess new sites; conduct screening and constraint analysis
• Negotiate land rights and secure agreements with landowners and agents
• Oversee and manage planning applications and appeals in line with TCPA and DCO frameworks
• Coordinate with grid specialists to secure power connections
• Work with design teams on site layout optimisation and feasibility
• Support commercial modelling and investment case preparation
• Manage due diligence and project risk assessments
• Maintain oversight of budgets, timelines, and internal approvals
• Ensure compliance with H&S and quality standards

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, or related development
• Knowledge of planning systems, land acquisition, and grid connection processes
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
• Degree in engineering, property, sustainability, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK

• Familiarity with grid infrastructure and UK planning policy
