Job summary

National Association of Women in Construction is seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead major construction projects in East Grinstead. The role covers planning, budgeting, design and procurement, with responsibility for site supervision and technical guidance.

You will manage multiple projects through inception to defects, assist with planning submissions, and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and CDM.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction project management.
• Ability to travel across the UK with overnight stays.
• Proficient in Autocad and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate design, specification and procurement of major works projects.
• Project management from inception to defects end on multiple projects.
• Assist in planning applications and cost estimation for capital works.
• Oversee site progress, audits of health and safety, and building regulation approvals.
• Produce concept, planning, construction and as-built drawings.
• Log and update project progress.

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Development Manager who has proven construction / estates experience. The Development Manager will support with planning, budgeting, project design, construction, supervision and technical advice.

Salary: £54-56K + car allowance

Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex

Development Manager duties

• Manage and coordinate the design, specification and procurement of major works projects
• Project management, from inception to end of defects, of multiple construction projects to help improve and grow the portfolio
• Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
• During the construction phase of projects including regular site checks on progress and auditing of health and safety
• Obtain building regulation approval when required
• Prepare and produce cost estimates and formal capital expenditure reports
• Oversee and review the production of concept, planning, construction and as-built drawings in Autocad
• Log and update project progress

Skills and experience

• Proven experience working in a similar construction project management type role
• Must be a driver and able to work across the UK and overnight stays required
• Good working knowledge of Autocad
• Knowledge and experience of Building Regulations, CDM regulations and general health and safety legislation
