Job summary

Carrington West are supporting a Midlands-based local authority to appoint a Development Management Planning Team Leader on an initial 6-month contract, with potential for rolling renewal and clear opportunities for progression within the service.

The post holder will line-manage a small team, have delegated authority for decisions on planning applications, and lead on identifying opportunities for service improvement, delivering these changes with the Development Manager and Head of Service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar position is required.
• Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline is beneficial.
• Eligibility for membership of RTPI is desirable.

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Midlands in the search for a Development Management Planning Team Leader to join on a initial 6 month contract (Then rolling).

The main purpose of the role will require you to line manage a small team of staff, the postholder will have delegated authority for decisions on planning applications. Key responsibilities will also require you to identify opportunities for service improvement and lead their implementation alongside the Development Manager and Head of Service.

Experience in a similar position is necessary. It would be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.

The council are looking for candidates who will be able to hit the ground running with considerable demonstrable experience in a similar position and are offering flexible working arrangements with home working provided.

Carrington West Pay Rate - Approx £65per/hour (DOE)
