Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Road and Sewer Design Engineer to join a team responsible for producing and completing in-house road and sewer designs on CAD.
Your responsibilities will include checking legal agreements such as section agreements, deeds of easements, and utility provisions in collaboration with external legal teams and Services Engineers.
You will be expected to attend and actively participate in pre-start meetings, monthly site meetings, and other relevant meetings to review progress and provide feedback.
Part of your role involves advising on and commissioning external consultants for site investigations, structural and civil services, topographical, environmental investigations, dilapidation surveys, flooding reports, and transportation assessments. You will ensure that all reports and information are received, reviewed, coordinated, and delivered on time and within budget, procuring the best value from consulting engineers.
Person Specification:
Previous experience in securing technical approval and section agreements for roads and sewers within residential projects is essential.
The ideal candidate will support the commercial department in completing road and sewer adoptions, coordinating remediation statements, and validation works.
Support for all departments on engineering issues and coordination of supporting engineering designs is desirable.
Ability to liaise with statutory undertakers, obtain service proposals including phased payments, and produce engineering appraisal reports is also desirable.
Applicants must have a background in road and sewer design within residential projects.
