Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions, Staffordshire, seeks a Development Engineer to join the Development Capability team. You will develop varied electrical, electronic and electromechanical systems, contributing to evaluation, pre-production and validation activities.

You will work with project teams to design, test and document solutions, including on-site commissioning and occasional overseas travel. Flexitime is offered to help manage core hours around business needs.

Qualifications

• Requires formal electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering education and hands-on engineering experience.
• Includes design, testing, and documentation activities in development environments.
• Must be able to travel occasionally within the UK and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system test suites and support projects.
• Conduct development and qualification testing of electromechanical systems.
• Capture schematics and design data, select components.
• Support verification and qualification testing programs (EMC, shock, vibration, climatic).
• Prepare documentation and reports for stakeholders and customers.
• Assist on-site commissioning or trials; some travel may be required.
