Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer - Contractor to support our project team at ESCO Maritime Solutions, based in Rugeley, Staffordshire. You will play a key rôle in producing bespoke electrical designs that underpin the development of complex equipment for harsh and demanding environments.

There will be a requirement to be on-site 4 days a week initially and then a minimum of 2 days per week after the 3-month induction period.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced electrical schematics and control systems.
• Analyse, verify, and optimise electrical designs to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Generate technical requirements and specifications for electrical systems.
• Capture, document, and maintain electrical schematics to a high standard.
• Select suitable cables and protective devices, considering safety, function, and cost.
• Provide technical input on component selection and system configuration.
• Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Participate in internal and customer-facing meetings where required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with ESCO’s engineering procedures.

Required Qualifications And Skills
