Are you a creative thinker with a passion for product development? At Modus, we’re seeking a dynamic and innovative engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating and developing contract furniture products from concept to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external design partners and operational teams to deliver innovative product solutions.
  • Create and control high-standard engineering and manufacturing drawings.
  • Liaise with clients and manage projects from prototype to production.
  • Produce CNC drawings/programmes for joinery and upholstery.
  • Develop technical specifications, SOPs, and quality standards for all products and packaging.
  • Drive lean production and engineering improvements for enhanced profitability.
  • Develop and maintain ERP database content using Winman software.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing / product development, or similar.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk suite).
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and Lean principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and demands.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate, energetic, and a practical thinker.
  • Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in the workspace furniture sector (preferred but not essential)
