Job summary

Alstom Derby is seeking a Development Continuous Improvement Manager to lead continuous improvement initiatives at a development level and drive site transformation towards a lean development organisation. The role involves defining and animating the local Dev CI roadmap and governance, and steering lean transformation across Development teams.

You should have experience in Lean Development, continuous improvement, and transformation environments, with the ability to pursue a Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Lean Development, continuous improvement and transformation environments.
  • Be capable of obtaining a Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt and applying structured improvement methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of Dev and Quality interfaces and governance in a complex industrial environment.
  • Willingness to travel to visit other Alstom sites, suppliers and customers when required.

Responsibilities

  • Define, deploy, and animate the local Dev continuous improvement roadmap at site level.
  • Define and animate the local transformation governance in alignment with site and global objectives.
  • Animate and sustain the local Lean Dev setup across Development teams.
  • Drive local and global continuous improvement projects, including Black Belt and Value Stream Mapping initiatives.
  • Contribute to Rolling Stock Lean Transformation activities, supporting transversalisation and best-practice sharing.

Your future role

As a Development Continuous Improvement Manager , you will lead continuous improvement initiatives at a development (Dev) level, and drive site transformation towards a lean development organisation.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Define, deploy, and animate the local Dev continuous improvement roadmap at site level.
  • Define and animate the local transformation governance in alignment with site and global objectives.
  • Animate and sustain the local Lean Dev setup across Development teams. Serve as the Transformation and Alstom Performance System Leader
  • Drive local and global continuous improvement projects, including Black Belt and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) initiatives.
  • Contribute to Rolling Stock Lean Transformation activities, supporting transversalisation, standardisation, and best-practice sharing across sites and functions.
