Job summary

Vanta Staffing are recruiting an experienced NPD Development Baker to join a busy product development team within a manufacturing environment in Slough. The role focuses on developing new product concepts, refining recipes, and supporting product trials from concept to customer approval.

The successful candidate will have strong artisan baking knowledge, an understanding of production techniques and a genuine interest in creating innovative products for market launch.

Qualifications

• Hands-on baker with artisan baking knowledge.
• Experience in product development and recipe development.
• Ability to manage samples and run trials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage initial recipe concepts within a dedicated product development environment.
• Create, test and refine new product ideas from initial concept through to customer samples.
• Manage sample requests and ensure products are developed and produced within agreed procedures and timescales.
• Work closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and deliver product samples accordingly.
• Lead and support production trials, ensuring products are suitable for manufacture at scale.

NPD Development Baker - Monday to Friday

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Location:Slough

The Role

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong artisan baking knowledge, an understanding of production techniques and a genuine interest in developing new and innovative products.
