Berry Recruitment is currently hiring for a dedicated and experienced Development Lead, Production position in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire

Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and conducting trials to develop new products or improve existing ones, including sourcing raw materials and testing equipment.
• Creating formulations for products such as tablets, liquids (solutions & suspensions), TD Gels, and Pastes, including testing ingredients and optimizing compositions.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, including scaling up processes.
• Liaising with quality control for testing trial samples and evaluating success.
• Maintaining detailed records of trials, results, and observations, including lab reports and batch records.
• Conducting manufacturing activities and trials following standards like GLP, cGMP, SOPs, and protocols.
• Managing technology transfer from trial to commercial batches for production.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production Management and Quality Control to achieve project goals.
• Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, including proper waste disposal and adherence to GLP and GMP standards.

About you:

• Proven experience in chemical research.
• Experience with equipment and processes within the SVP Cleanroom is advantageous.
• Experience with small-scale trials and scaling up for commercial production.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to Quality, Environmental, and H&S standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
