Job summary

ABP Food Group Ellesmere is seeking a proactive Maintenance Operative to keep a busy production line running. You will perform start-up checks, report faults, ensure pallets are scanned, and help maintain hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires coordinating with transport and stocks, managing loading plans, counting trays and pallets, and attending team meetings. A background in production-line maintenance and the ability to multi-task are essential; shifts include Mon-Sat with Sunday

Qualifications

• Background involving maintenance of a busy production line.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MHE equipment is serviceable and charged; sign off checks daily.
• Operate scanners and report faults to IT/Maintenance; keep area clean.
• Check product and ensure scans appear on palletisation report; report shorts.
• Coordinate trailers; liaise with transport and stock for shorts and amendments.
• Maintain up-to-date job observations; follow loading plans and signatures.
• Count trays and pallets daily; report faults with tray wash machine.
• Ensure safety, hygiene compliance; attend team meetings and training.
