Job summary

Cranswick Froch Foods is seeking an experienced Despatch Supervisor to lead a multi-skilled team and ensure despatch operations run safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will coordinate with Operations, Planning, Technical and HR to despatch orders accurately and on time.

The role emphasises strong leadership, communication and a proactive approach to safety, quality, and record-keeping in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Despatch Supervisor to join our team at Cranswick Froch Foods. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll play an important part in ensuring our Despatch operation runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard every day. You'll lead and support a multi-skilled team, working closely with Operations, Planning, Technical, HR and Health & Safety to make sure customer orders are despatched accurately and on time.

What you'll be doing

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within food manufacturing, production or Despatch.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, professional and respectful approach.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Good planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• A reliable approach with excellent timekeeping.
• The confidence to work in a fast‑paced environment and make decisions when required.
• A willingness to learn and develop.

Qualifications & Experience Ideally, you will have:

• Level 3 Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
• Experience with risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Hazard and near‑miss reporting experience.
• Accident investigation training or experience.
• An understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards within a manufacturing environment.
