Job summary

TT Electronics is seeking a reliable Despatch Operator to join the Despatch team at the Abercynon site. You will ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time, while maintaining documentation and despatch records.

The role requires good attention to detail, strong time management, and a commitment to safe operating procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Training will be provided, including forklift operation and BPSS clearance preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, despatch or stores environment is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Positive team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and quality.
• Basic computer skills; full training will be provided on despatch systems.
• Willingness to train and operate a company forklift (training provided).
• Ability to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and scan customer orders accurately in accordance with despatch packing lists and SOPs.
• Ensure all products are prepared and dispatched accurately to meet customer and business requirements.
• Complete all documentation and filing accurately and maintain despatch records.
• Work safely following Health & Safety procedures and safe working instructions.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping; keep work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Handle and lift products safely, including heavier items, using training provided.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet team objectives and deadlines.
• Demonstrate excellent time management to ensure orders are dispatched on schedule.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
