Job summary

CMD Recruitment Limited seeks a Despatch Operative for an initial 4-month temporary contract in Devizes, Wiltshire. The role ensures orders are picked, packed, labeled and prepared for collection with strict stock accuracy and adherence to quality and safety standards.

You will be involved in picking, packing, labeling, stock checks and coordinating courier collections, with forklift duties and a proactive approach to continuous improvement in despatch operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Despatch/Logistics role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with picking and packing of customer orders and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and to deadlines.
• Pack finished goods to customer spec.
• Label shipments, including export packaging.
• Check outgoing paperwork for accuracy.
• Coordinate courier/haulier collections and deliveries.
• Receive, count and transfer finished stock.
• Conduct regular stock checks and address stock queries.
• Move stock with a forklift safely.
