Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a Despatch Operative for our Dungannon site. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, supports a cooperative team, and takes pride in accurate paperwork and food safety.

Formación

• Must speak, read and write English to an acceptable standard.
• Must be numerate and able to complete paperwork accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• Experience understanding and completing paperwork is preferred.
• Teamworking is essential and a positive attitude is required.

Responsabilidades

• Handle and store all frozen and chilled products.
• Despatch all frozen and chilled products.
• Record keeping and completion of related paperwork.
• Record temperatures in the despatch area and ensure correct pallet labelling.
• Poly-wrapping and blast-chilling of product; maintain clean work area.
• Perform other duties as required and contribute to a safe food environment.

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our team at our Dungannon site. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a supportive team.

Working Hours

Team A Week 1 Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday - 6:00 am - pm Week 2 - Wednesday/Thursday - 6:00 am - 6:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

• The handling and storage of all frozen and chilled food products
• The despatch of all frozen and chilled food products
• Record keeping and completion of other relevant paperwork
• Recording of temperatures within the despatch area
• Correct labelling of pallets
• Poly-wrapping of product
• Blast-chilling of product
• General housekeeping of work area
• Any other duties that are required

Essential

Skills & Experience Required

• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Must be numerate
• Must be observant and pay attention to detail
• Must be able to read English to acceptable standard to ensure paperwork is understood
• Experience understanding and ability to complete paperwork
• Must be able to think clearly and pay attention to detail
• A positive attitude to work and others is essential
• Team working is essential

Desirable

• Good communication skills are desirable
• Good interpersonal skills are desirable
• The ability to record data neatly and accurately is desirable
• An understanding of temperature control is desirable
• Experience within a food factory is desirable
• Previous experience in despatch is desirable
• A Counterbalance fork lift and/or Electric Pallet truck licence is desirable
