Job summary

Avara Foods is hiring a Despatch Operative at our Hollybank site in Scropton near Hatton. You will handle fresh and frozen meat products, palletising, wrapping, and loading for deliveries in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

Shifts are Tue–Sat 06:00–15:00. The role requires MHE competency, teamwork, good English, and numeracy; training will be provided where needed. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Licences/experience with MHE equipment and ability to show competency.
• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Experience within production/manufacturing environment is desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Picking, storing and documenting products.
• Quality checking, wrapping and palletising products.
• Stacking frozen and chilled products.
• Loading and unloading trailers.
• Using hand scanners to log products into the system.
• Picking, checking and rotating products based on the daily plan.
• Manual handling which can include lifting equipment and products up to 20kg
