Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd is hiring for a Despatch Operative at the Hereford site. The role involves ensuring products are dispatched correctly from production lines and loaded onto delivery lorries, with full training provided.

Working hours total 38.5 per week (0700-1900 / 1900-0700). The site offers a shift allowance and a range of staff benefits as part of a secure contract and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and numeracy skills are essential.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate pedestrian pallet trucks and scan products for correct dispatch.
• Assist with loading/unloading to ensure deliveries reach customers.
• Follow safety, food safety and company training guidelines.
• Handle manual handling tasks up to 20 kg as required.
• Maintain organisation and accurate product movement through the despatch process.
