Job summary

Arla Foods at our flagship site in Aylesbury is seeking a proactive Despatch Operative to join the team on a permanent basis. You will work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights, with a five-week cycle that includes 10 consecutive days off.

You will load milk tets to trailers and dispatch to customers across the UK, using voice picking devices and handling loose bottles to fulfill orders, while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards and looking after our robots.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a motivated team player who can work on their own initiative.
• Good knowledge of supply chain processes and health and safety rules.
• Previous experience in warehousing or cold store is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Resolve minor breakdowns and carry out basic maintenance and asset care.
• Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met and regular audits are conducted.
• Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues.
• Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems.
• Voice picking operation of loose bottles ensuring customer receives all required product.
• Loading milk trolleys on trailers mechanically and manually.
• Working with state of art technology, such as our Automated Guided Vehicles.
