Desktop Support Engineer
6 Month contract initially
Based: Onsite in London
Rate: Market rates (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities:
- Win-10 Desktop and Laptop Build - Refurbishment, OS Installation, Application installation via Azure AD.
- Providing support for Desktop/Laptop in MMD infrastructure.
- CMDB Management.
- Providing Desktop Support and addressing tickets for WIN-10/11 Deployment issues and requests.
- Assisting customers with application installation and first-level support.
- Troubleshooting and resolving desktop/laptop/tablets/phone issues remotely.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues on Windows-10/11 OS.
- Managing End-to-End Infrastructure from Windows devices to core applications.
- Providing 1st Line Network Support.
- User Account Creation and Support.
- Supporting Microsoft Exchange.
- Printer Support.
- Device Management via Intune Portal.
- Antivirus Management.
- Windows 10/11 Patch Deployment.
- Supporting Meeting Room setups.
- Supporting operating systems with performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Resolving O365 related issues.
- Collaborating with relevant teams to resolve technical issues and communicating progress.
- Participating in BAU operational support and project delivery.
- Maintaining system documentation and procedures.
- Performing periodic audits of security controls.
- Moving devices physically and setting up or dispatching to users.
- Creating technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
- Unpacking, repackaging, and shipping devices.
- Travel across multiple UK locations as required.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Supporting Windows 7 and 10 onsite and remotely.
- Knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10, tablets, and HHUs.
- Extensive hardware and software management skills.
- Hands-on experience with device configuration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of O365 products and services.
- Understanding of device security and antivirus programs.
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and guide users.
- Customer-oriented attitude.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Powershell scripting knowledge.
- Experience with Windows registry updates.
- Proven desktop hardware installation and setup experience.
- Experience in desktop site and remote support roles.
