Job description

Desktop Support Engineer

Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer on an ongoing contract basis to support its large user community at the Singapore Campus and assist with deploying new technology.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing support for escalated issues from the IT Service Desk, including BAU systems administration and project-based support.
  2. Installing, training, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing desktop hardware and software.
  3. Setting up and operating audio-visual hardware as required by end-users.
  4. Selecting appropriate hardware and software based on company policy and user needs.
  5. Responding to incidents within SLA, ensuring timely resolution, and following up with customers.
  6. Handling disconnects, moves, and reconnects of desktop hardware for individual and office moves.
  7. Deploying and upgrading desktop devices using imaging tools like SCCM.
  8. Assisting in the administration and maintenance of technology infrastructure components.
  9. Supporting installation, troubleshooting, and repair of office telephony systems.
  10. Using the corporate incident management system to record and track support work.
  11. Maintaining accurate records of hardware and software assets.
