Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking a Designated Lead to champion the educational achievement, wellbeing and progression of care-experienced learners across multiple campuses in Rotherham and Worksop. The role offers a salary of £29,455 per annum plus benefits, with a 37-hour, full-year schedule on a temporary contract.

Key responsibilities include leading statutory duties, coordinating ePEP meetings, monitoring learner outcomes, and delivering targeted support.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable young people, including Looked After Children and Care Leavers.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and case management ability.
• Strong communication and partnership-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead on statutory responsibilities relating to care-experienced learners.
• Coordinate and chair ePEP meetings, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Monitor attendance, progress, retention and learner outcomes.
• Deliver early intervention and targeted support strategies.
• Build strong partnerships with Local Authorities, Virtual Schools and external agencies.
• Produce reports on learner performance, engagement and support needs.
• Provide advice on trauma-informed approaches and inclusive practice.
• Offer mentoring, advocacy and pastoral support to vulnerable learners.
• Support progression into employment, apprenticeships, training or higher education.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within student support services.
