Job summary

Queensmead is seeking a Design & Technology Technician to support and maintain the school's workshop facilities. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining equipment for lessons, including wood, metal and plastics, and coordinating resources for the Design & Technology Department.

The ideal candidate will be capable with laser cutting and 3D printing technologies, and will assist students and staff in the workshops.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up, using and maintaining workshop equipment is essential.
• Experience with 3D printing and laser cutting technologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to support students and staff in a school workshop environment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Design & Technology Department.
• Prepare resources and equipment for lessons (wood, metal, plastics).
• Maintain workshop machinery and order supplies.
• Support students and staff in the workshops; full training provided.
