Job summary

Burntwood School in London is seeking a Design and Technology Technician for up to 12 months. The role supports 3D/Product Design, Textiles, Graphics and Food Technology in well-equipped workshops.

The post requires 36 hours per week during term time, with hours 08:30 to 16:30, and a salary on the NJC Scale 4 (SP7-SP10). The successful candidate will work under the Head of Visual Arts and Design Technology and be part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Highly organised, knowledgeable and suitably qualified Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of technical and administrative support to the Design and Technology subjects (3D/Product Design, Textiles, Graphics and Food Technology) in large, well-equipped facilities.
• Support the delivery of the curriculum within a collaborative DT team; work under the Head of Visual Arts and Design Technology.
• Balance independent work with teamwork in a flexible, versatile role while maintaining positive relationships with staff and students.
