Job summary

Washwood Heath Academy is seeking a Design and Technology Technician to support teaching and learning in the Design and Technology department. You will provide technical and administrative assistance, prepare teaching aids, manage stock and orders, and help with open evenings and school events.

In this role you will also assist teachers in lessons, maintain and perform simple repairs on equipment, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive school culture within Washwood Heath Multi Academy

Qualifications

• Experience as a Design and Technology technician is desirable.
• Ability to support teaching and learning in Design and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support for teaching and learning in Design and Technology.
• Support teachers in lessons and prepare teaching aids and resources.
• Organise and monitor stock; order materials as needed.
• Support open evenings and whole school exhibitions and events/ performances.
• Maintain and perform simple repairs on equipment.
