Job summary

Washwood Heath Academy is seeking a Design and Technology Technician to support teaching and learning in the Design and Technology department. You will provide technical and administrative assistance, prepare teaching aids, manage stock and orders, and help with open evenings and school events.

In this role you will also assist teachers in lessons, maintain and perform simple repairs on equipment, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive school culture within Washwood Heath Multi Academy

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Design and Technology technician is desirable.
  • Ability to support teaching and learning in Design and Technology.

As part of our commitment to help our students to achieve the best possible results, we are looking for a committed, hard-working, and enthusiastic individual to work as a technician within our vibrant Technology Department.

We are looking for a Design and Technology Technician to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered. This role will involve providing technical and administrative support for teaching and learning within the Design and Technology subject areas. You will also be responsible for supporting teachers in lessons, preparing teaching aids and resources, organising and monitoring stock, ordering, supporting open evenings, whole school exhibitions and events/ performances, maintaining and simple repair of equipment.
