Job summary

Park View School is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised Design & Technology Technician to support the delivery of a practical and ambitious curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The role involves preparing materials, supporting GCSE/A-Level coursework, and ensuring workshops and CAD/CAM facilities are safe and well maintained.

• Strong practical skills in workshop environments.
• Ability to support GCSE/A-Level coursework and practical tasks.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons across all key stages.
• Support students with GCSE and A-Level coursework, including practical work outside timetabled lessons.
• Maintain workshop equipment, machinery, CAD/CAM facilities and departmental resources.
• Manage stock, place orders and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the Design Faculty.
• Support staff development by introducing new techniques and technologies.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the upper and lower school sites.
