Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Design Technology Teacher in Newcastle to cover a maternity leave from 1 October 2026 to 31 August 2027. You will deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, using your subject knowledge to develop pupils' design thinking and technical skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic educator with QTS in Design Technology, strong classroom management, and a creative approach to teaching. The role offers market leading pay and full-time hours through the assignment.

Qualifications

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism required.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology.
• Experience delivering engaging and challenging Design Technology lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
