We’re hiring: Design & Technology Teacher | Independent School | Croydon

Are you an inspiring Design & Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a thriving independent school?

Cumnor House is looking for a passionate and creative DT teacher to join our dedicated teaching team, working with pupils aged 2–13 in a supportive and engaging environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to inspire pupils through practical, creative and innovative learning, helping them develop both technical skills and confidence in bringing their ideas to life.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Design & Technology lessons
  • Teach practical skills across a range of materials, tools and techniques
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving and independent thinking
  • Plan and deliver lessons that challenge and engage pupils of different abilities
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety within the DT environment
  • Support pupils in developing design, making and evaluation skills
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and its co‑curricular activities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an outstanding educational experience
