Job summary

Purbrook Park School in Waterlooville is seeking a passionate Teacher of Design Technology to join our Art, Design and Technology team. The role focuses on delivering Design Technology and Product Design with a pathway to teach OCR Cambridge National in Engineering Design at KS4.

The successful candidate will inspire pupils through practical, project-based learning and strong subject knowledge. Training and support will be provided where needed to develop in Design Technology and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience/interest in Design Technology and Product Design.
• Knowledge of engineering design processes and CAD/CAM.
• Familiarity with modelling, prototyping and workshop-based practical skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Design Technology lessons and inspire pupils.
• Develop and deliver OCR Cambridge National in Engineering Design (J822) at KS4.
• Contribute to Art & Design provision, including 3D Design.
• Collaborate with departmental team to plan and assess learning.
• Provide high-quality feedback and ensure accurate assessment.
