Amazon is seeking a Design Process Manager to oversee the technical standards for its colocation infrastructure. This crucial role involves documentation management, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement to support the growth of AWS's data centers, ensuring they meet emerging needs efficiently.
Job ID: 3016378 | Amazon Data Services UK Limited
The Colocation Design Standards (CoDeS) Team is looking for a Design Process Manager to drive the management of the technical standards which shape the world's leading cloud infrastructure, create order from complexity and enable global teams to work efficiently and consistently.
In this role, you will serve as the cornerstone of our Basis of Design (BOD) program for Colocation sites, influencing how we document and manage technical standards across our global fleet of colocation data centers. You'll work with internal and external teams to define, review, and release critical documentation that guides infrastructure development. As an owner, you'll ensure our technical standards evolve to meet emerging needs while maintaining consistency across our rapidly growing infrastructure footprint.
Primary responsibilities include managing the end-to-end Colo BOD release cycle, tooling and documentation; coordinating cross-functional reviews, and developing scalable processes for document management. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to capture design improvements and ensure technical requirements are clearly documented. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the quality and accessibility of our technical standards internally and externally.
